Service Technician, Bilingual – Spanish

The Service Technician position will be located at our Grimes, Iowa Headquarters. The right candidate is able to travel both domestically and internationally and has strong customer service and mechanical skills.
R&D Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience with advanced R&D equipment, learning how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot it.
- Assist in managing and adjusting lab inventory by applying effective inventory control practices.
- Perform assigned tasks during R&D runs.
- Apply theoretical knowledge during execution of assigned R&D projects.
- Understand and demonstrate extrusion technology to prospective customers.
- Follow established safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Service Responsibilities
- Assist with set-up of Insta-Pro equipment at customer locations.
- Gain practical experience in troubleshooting and performing service calls.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist with parts orders.
- Work closely with Sales Team to advise visitors and prospects on equipment applications.
- Develop proactive engagement skills by checking on customer operations and providing necessary assistance.
- Prepare detailed activity and trip reports after travel to customer sites.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude required
- Knowledge of, and comfort with the use of power tools required
- Extrusion operation experience preferred
- Experience with Lock-Out Tag-Out and other safety regulations preferred
- Forklift certification
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
- Valid passport
- Willing to travel 25-35% of the time, both domestically and internationally
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
- Must possess patience and aptitude for problem solving
